from this father’s message to his daughter

I just watched this, and THIS is how you raise a fucking kid. This man clearly cares for his daughter. He clearly expects the best from her, and she is clearly a spoiled little bitch. But he knows how to handle that. Not with violence towards her, but a strong message of him being at the end of his rope and not taking her shit anymore. Kids should be raised strict. Without punishment my generation has gone to total shit. My momma raised me with chores, and any time I seemed spoiled, she would tell me straight up how the world works. And you know what? I hated her in high school, but now that i’m grown and look at others in my generation who can’t handle their own shit or expect to get everything handed to them, I realize that she raised me to survive in this world. She raised me to know what’s really up. She raised me right.

I applaud this father, there needs to be more like him.

I just looooooooooove all of the psychologist and social workers that are commenting on that video, telling that he did bad thing. Oh really now? That little spoiled brat can be happy that her father isn’t abusive, that she has place to sleep, that she has hot meals every single day. Her parents gave her all of those things, and they have right to take them away.

I finally got the time to sit down and watch this video. What a spoiled bitch. I might not agree with destroying the laptop, but the family is clearly well off and doesn’t need to just sell it or the parts or w/e (what I would’ve done lol). Everything else I agree with. The saddest part of that letter is when she said she won’t be there for him when he gets too old to take care of himself, whether she meant it or not. Using violence to set an impression is also something I wouldn’t have done.. but I don’t think it will affect her as much as people are making it out to be (“omg a GUN”). It’s unfortunate, but hopefully this sets her straight. It’s just sad when one grows up in a hard environment, but excels and makes a good stable living to support their own family, so that their kids don’t have to go through the same thing they did, only to get a spoiled brat(s).

Also, someone inferred he is screaming? This dad is chill. He’s furious, you can tell, but he’s containing it and is keeping a level tone. You want to see screaming, raging, throwing shit everywhere, meet my dad.

This is one of those things that everyone will disagree about, but it’s all opinions. You can be the best parent in the world and still end up with a bad kid. It’s not all a blank slate. (that is also an opinion, as some people disagree with the tabula rasa theory too)
